의료기기 사업부에서는 각종 의료 진단 및 수술 현미경을 공급하고 있습니다.
칼자이스의 의료 현미경은 현재 안과, 신경외과, 정형외과, 성형외과, 치과 등에서의 진료에 사용되고
있으며 안과 장비는 망막증,백내장, 녹내장 및 굴절력에 대한 진단 및 치료에 사용됩니다.
지난 2002년에는 Meditec 회사가 창설됨에 따라 라식 수술 때 사용되는 엑시머 레이저 장비 등 안과
계통의 시스템 장비들에 대한 연구 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있습니다.

SMT stands for Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology which subsidiaries are SMS (Semiconductor Metrology Systems Division) GmbH and NTS (Nano Technology Systems Division) GmbH.
