| SEM VE: The Visualization Engine |

High Resolution extreme field of view (FOV) imaging is now possible through super sampling frame store images of up to 32 thousand x 32 thousand pixels. An entire ultra section (~1 mm field of view) is shown, imaged with SEM VE. The complete montaged image (40+ Giga byte) retains a resolution of 4 nm.
Picture detail "A" shows a typical field of view with standard SEM frame store with 4 nm pixel resolution.
Picture detail "B" shows a field of view using the Visualization Engine at the same resolution (4 nm pixel resolution). With a FOV more than a hundred times bigger than with the standard frame store, image acquisition is more than a hundred times faster.
